Right Way Round ..' ?? Well, I'm not even sure where this trip will end. You see, I'm the original 'Uneasy Rider' .. not especially blessed with much natural motorcycling talent, nor am I a particularly courageous motorcycle rider. Nevertheless I went 'Right Way Round' New Zealand (3 times) - and then Australia.
Now it's up to South-east Asia and a ride beyond, through Indo-China, over the Himalayas, across to Asia Minor and maybe some of Africa .. finishing in Europe.
Right Way Round - all the way home .. to England on a Honda Transalp, or bust?!
Great photos in black and white of a trip from UK to Europe in 1953.
The author writes:
"I have now been informed that so many modern foreign bikes ridden by smartly dressed English riders would have been quite a sight on Europe's roads. They would ride through France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland. We think of old bikes as being unreliable, but my father and his friends were keen riders and engineers and completed the trip without much more than a puncture. The bikes that took part in the trip were:
GAU 856 Brough Superior SS100 with fuel in the loop sidecar.
AHC 650 Triumph Thunderbird. He bought this one on 22nd July 1950 for £219 16 9 and by the day they set off in July 53 - it had done 24,900 miles.
KBY 571 Sunbeam and VMM 871 Sunbeam."
I came across these guys whilst looking for a cheap visa help service. Nigel, UK.
I think there are 2 types of people who do this gig, biker nuts who want to go travelling, and travelling nuts who want to go biking. To be fair I'm being harsh, Dave is mostly piss taking and Marc is just being careful. A small blot on what has already been a mental trip, and its only just started.

What happened when Joe decided he wanted to see some of the world by motorbike...
This is the story of Franklin and I. Two backpackers touring South America, who, in February 2011 switched to two wheels in the Chilean capital of Santiago. We rode north to Colombia through arid deserts, mountain ranges, sticky jungles and insane cities. We took on adverse weather conditions, impossible altitudes and corrupt cops all on a shoe string budget. Not that we could have even afforded a shoe string. Santiagonorth documents our highs and our lows, our conquests and our defeats. Enjoy.

Now Lonely Highway Adventurers have a family not only consists of adventurers but also have a strong backup team - a traveller may need in every sphere in his travel, from mechanic to doctors and from experienced guides to mountaineering instructors.
