I travel around the Southwestern United States and Baja Mex whenever I get another paycheck exploring ghost towns, mines, and native American ruins mostly.
Sometimes I take my KTM 450EXC and most of the time I take my Toyota 4runner. It's a low budget everyman's take on "overlanding."

This is a blog of my first ever trip trip on a motorcycle to Tasmania Australia in October 2009.

On the road since Jan 2009 and a lot of the world still left to see.

While up mountains at 5000m, it is unwise to make massive, life-changing plans. The lack of oxygen may well be affecting you. So if you decide suddenly to go on a round-the-world adventure on a 21yr old motorbike for a year or more, think Very Carefully. Or just do it.

Circumnavigating South America on a 200cc motorcycle may be quite a challenge. Here I'll log all the details of this adventure including the initial months of research and preparation needed for the trip as well as smaller "test rides" to different locations in Peru.
