"The road to Koki Jar is fine but at the end of the trip both the car and the driver will be destroyed" - advice from a local.
Well, it...
This trip will take me from Nepal to the Netherlands starting in September 2014. I will ride my Moto Guzzi NTX650 from 1989 home, after I had shipped it to New Zealand 7 years ago with the intention to ride it home, but it did not work out then. Maybe for the better. I was very young (still am!) but a little wiser now. My plan was to go to Australia, South East Asia and see from there.
I travelled Australia last year with a car, and have limited time, so decided to fly my bike to Nepal and start from there.
My weblog will mostly be in Dutch, sorry about that.
Thanks for reading anyway.

C90 DREAMS – OXFORD TO A GREEK ISLAND ON A PIZZA BIKE
Six years.
It’s taken us a long time to finally tell our story.
We quit our jobs to make our way across Europe from Oxford, England to a beautiful Greek Island on Honda C90 pizza bikes we purchased on eBay. We had no smart phones, sat navs or any experience of riding motorbikes. In retrospect we were lucky we didn’t get smashed to bits. Making a film pieced together from footage shot on cameras that were already obsolete at the time somehow became part of the journey.
We would like to invite you to experience the sheer nonsense of it all. We’ve split our film into six parts, which we will share on this blog every week, starting on the sixth anniversary of our trip. The 25th of August 2014.
Let’s ride, road dogs.
We, Peter and Leonie from Amsterdam, quit our jobs to travel around the world on our two Honda CRF250Ls for the next two years. Join us on our adventures through Africa, the Americas and Asia!

Charlie and Janet Russel from New Zealand. We are touring The Americas on two black Yamahas, a 1200 Super Tenere and an XT660R. We started in Vancouver in July 2014, and are planning to be in Ushuaia in February 2015.
To begin, our bike will be shipped by air freight out to Bishkek in Kyrgzstan. From there we have 1 month to make our way back home to the UK before the school term begins.
We will be 2-up on the one motorcycle. The plan is to cover approximately 6000 miles across about 11 different countries
Kevin and Kitty are currently driving in Asia...follow them on their blog and read all about their preparations and experiences on their website!

This is a diary of a 12 month trip on KTM 990s. We look at amusing and practical advice. We spanner our own bikes and are self funded. Mostly camping. Some off road. Some video footage but lots of pictures.
