Shipments done by Travellers

The HU Shipping Database!

From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.

For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.

If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:

Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.

Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!

NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.

Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

I initially tried to ship the bike with a local shop(Lynden) and it failed miserably leaving me in Casablanca while my friends locally helped sort out getting the bike to me.

RAM cargo came through and did everything they said they would do, at the price they would do it, and helped clear customs for me in Casablanca. They have contacts in customs that makes navigating it much easier.

Anyways...I would recommend them.

Interfracht told us to contact Horizon Auto Service in Houston. They made all the paperwork for us. We only had to bring our bikes to the warehouse in Houston. No crate was needed. The bikes were shipped in a container. After almost 4 weeks we got our bikes in Bremerhafen back-without any problems!
We paid after everything was done.

They seem to be conspiring.

At Israel side, the agency, ROSENFELD sold a ticket of the cargo ferry 200 euros including motorcycle. They said that charge was including everything, there would be no charge after arrival at Cyprus. I confirmed many times strongly.
I found '135 euros' written on the ticket and I asked them why. However, they got angry screaming contradicted explanation.

After arrival, the Cyprus side agency, SALAMIS required another 200 euros! (Exactly they change the price every time when I asked and rose up 200 euros finally)

The Cyprus side agency kept my passport and customs documents, so I could not help paying.

They also have another stratagem.
When we discussed at Cyprus, even though it was lunchtime, they said that today was so late, everything was tomorrow. Then they gave me a room for the night (I confirmed it was free).
The next day was Friday. On Saturday and Sunday, the customs were close. So they became bullish. In addition, they required the hotel charge that was twice of the true charge! I asked the all detailed statement, but they never gave me. (I checked the handling charge of Salamis secretly. It seemed to be 43.70 Cyprus pounds that was less than $100)

There seemed to be only one cargo ferry. Even though you get a ticket from another agency, if the ferry is 'Salamis,' you may fall into the same situation. Moreover, the insurance in Cyprus was very expensive. The minimum was $100 and a little per year. I recommend you never visit Cyprus with your vehicle.

200 euro 200 euro?!
