Shipments done by Travellers
The HU Shipping Database!
From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.
For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.
If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:
Please let us know here for minor details, or

Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!
NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.
Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

Great service at both ends. I was alowed to oversee the packing and loading of the motor in the container at the warehouse in Dubai. Superb job with building the palette and tying the motor down . Arrived at the receiving end without a scratch and in the original condition. Highly recommend their service.

A small family business located in a rural area about 10 km north of downtown Victoria. Owner Wayne is a rider himself who has crated and shipped his own bikes, and seemed to treat mine no differently.
Price included crating and shipment. Here's the breakdown:
- $420 CAD -- Packing and crating of all items. Crate dimensions were 96”L x 41”W x 66”H, custom built to hold my KTM 1190 Adventure R. This included packing of riding gear, helmet, boots, loose windscreen and mirrors. The crate and packing were both to a professional standard, no surprise as this is their core business.
- $840 CAD -- Transport. Carrier was Day & Ross, with final delivery by Grimshaw Trucking.
- $95 CAD -- Surcharge for power tailgate truck delivery at final destination (my driveway). This proved to be unavailable locally and, when I let Wayne know and asked whether he or I would be best to pursue it with the interline carrier, he refunded the fee immediately, without question, and took care of it. A+.
- Plus taxes -- 5% GST (on the total amount) + 7% BC PST (on the packing & crating amount only; PST rate was 0% at the destination, so no PST on the transport or final delivery amounts).
A pick-up service was also available (additional $150 CAD), but my brother graciously rode my bike over to their yard and dropped it off instead.
Preparation requirements were:
- Fully drain fuel tank.
- Disconnect battery cables and tape off the battery terminals.
- Remove windscreen and mirrors (to reduce height of the crate).
Transit time was 9 days. Online tracking was available from the carrier, but after a few days lag for the shipment to appear in the system, it had nearly already arrived.
As they weren't able to get the crate out of the truck down to my driveway, I ended up going over to the Grimshaw yard with a few tools, uncrating it there myself, and riding home. I borrowed a friend's truck to haul my disassembled crate home (saved for future re-use).
I was impressed by the crate construction, the securing of the bike within, and the extreme care taken in wrapping all of my loose items inside the crate (helmet included) to protect them from damage.
This worked out to be a great solution to my moto-separation, which was stuck up against an extended Northwest Territories Covid border closure. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Wayne to crate and/or ship a motorcycle from Vancouver Island to anywhere. Excellent communication, excellent service, and 5-star execution.
