Shipments done by Travellers
The HU Shipping Database!
From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.
For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.
If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:
Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.
Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!
NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.
Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

We shipped our two Yamaha Tenere XT 660Z from Kathmandu to new Zealand. The two crates were build on the AirPort at the customs, So the paperwerk was done after the bikes were crated. The bikes flew via Bangkok to Auckland. They arrived without problems in Auckland. For more details you can contact me via Facebook: Karin Hartog deom the Netherlands
size of the crates: LxBxH = 2.07x0.71x1.30
weight: 620 kg
volume: 632 kg (So the price was in volume instead of kg)
Shipment: From Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan to Delhi, India - December, 2017
Muza office is above DHL on Kiev Street
The shipping quote was $1850 and the extra $150 was for crating the bike and transporting to the airport. I had to handle the logistics myself on the Delhi side. The bike was a KTM 690 Enduro. Wheels had to be removed and sent in a separate box. Fuel was drained and battery removed.
The guys at Muza were helpful and looked after all the paperwork and customs formalities.
Shipment: From London, United Kingdom to Surbaya, Indonesia - December, 2017
I used Frontier Freight Services as a freight forwarder in the UK. They handled crating the bike, transporting it from London to port, booking with the shipping agent, and all the necessary paperwork on the UK side.
While I was happy with Frontier Freight Services, I had some difficulty dealing with CP World Group and their agent in Surabaya. The bike never got transferred from Singapore, and it just sat there until I showed up in Surabaya. The shipment ended up being delayed in total for 14 days.
The fees at port side were also quite high, but that may just be typical for Indonesia.
Shipment: From Bandar Abas, Iran to Mombasa, Kenya - December, 2017
We shipped two motorcycles in a 20' container directly from Bandar Abas, Iran to Mombasa, Kenya. Time in transit was supposed to be two weeks, but due to delayed departure, in reality it was four weeks. However, the process in Iran as well as in Kenya was very fast and simple.
The full details and contacts of all companies and people we dealt with are in the blog post here: https://www.2wheeledadventures.com/single-post/2018/03/13/MOTORCYCLE-SHIPMENT-FROM-ASIA-TO-AFRICA-Iran-to-Kenya

We three motorcyclers and we rented 20 foot container. They put the bikes in the container without crating because the container was consigned only to us. They were always responsive and helpful. The service was in general very good. The only problem we had was the side stands. When we got the bikes in Singapore, two of the bikes' sidestand were a bit bended, maybe because of the strapping. It will be wise to redirect them about fixing the bikes.
Time schedule was so precise.

In Singapore they didn't have any agent so we worked with another person. His name was Jaya and he was also very helpful, but it will be wise to speak for every detail ahaed of doing the job, because he can want some extra money if you are not definite. But overall I suggest him to work with. His contact details are below
