Shipments done by Travellers
The HU Shipping Database!
From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.
For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.
If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:
Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.
Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!
NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.
Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

Price in Germany includes collecting the truck (7.3m x 2.2m x 3.1m high) from Hellgeth Engineering (Rodacherbrunn 16, 07343 Wurzbach, Germany) on a trailer and delivering to Bremerhaven port. Also includes $650 marine insurance.
Price in Dubai included a $ 300 non refundable customs deposit since we cleared the truck based on copies of documents, not originals (because it was a new import - paperwork in the port was easier because we did this)
Marine insurance was very comprehensive and based on a value of just over EUR 100,000.00
Deugro Dubai have done lots of work for: Mercedes Commercial, Mercedes Auto, Hellgeth, and Oberaigner. THey know these companies well. I had an Oberaigner chassis, adapted at Hellgeth, invoiced by KrugXP, and imported new (so with duty to pay - not included in the above costs). This could have been a paperwork nightmare but Deugro took care of it all exceptionally well.

This is a small outifit in Vancouver but they were easy to contact despite us shipping during the festive period. They were helpful when we were self crating and disassembling bikes on site. Kept in touch throughout the shipment and gave advice for arrival into Malaysia.

Bernd is a fellow biker and offers motorbike shipping as a side hobby from his main logistic company. I highly reccomend this guy for shipping.
Bernd is very easy to work with and will do anything he can to make the process of crateing and shipping as easy as possible. Bernd will explain all the costs and answers emails very quickly.
The price quoted was very close to the final price dictated by the airline weigh in and Bernd helped us to ensure we were paying for cargo weight and not volume.
Myself and my friend met Bernd in Kuala Lumpar at a crating yard that he has contacts with, here we dismantled and crated our bikes. We then handed over our Carnet De Passage for each bike.
Once the crate was handed over to the airline and weighed we picked up the completed carnets.
Once I arrived in Heathrow i was able to collect the crate and have the Carnet cleared. the process in Heathrow was the most complex process i've ever encountered so be prepared.
Please feel free to contact me if you wish to discuss any detail.

I turned up to the Moto Freight hanger on a winters day with my bike covered in mud, they cleaned it, boxed it and air freighted it to Buenos Aires and put me in touch with their Argentine fixer, Javier.
It was my first shipment. I was nervous. My bike flew via Canada and Chile and I was sure something would go wrong en route but it arrived on time and with help from Javier and his wife it was released with minimum stress.
I finished my trip in Calgary, Canada. The ride was everything I hoped it would be and more.
