Shipments done by Travellers
The HU Shipping Database!
From THIS page, you can find details of shipments ALREADY MADE by travellers, both air and sea, so you can plan your own shipment.
For each shipment, the details include Shipping Date, Cost, Shipper Contact details and a Description of the experience, often including very detailed and extremely useful information about the requirements for crating or the paperwork involved at the destination location.
If you are aware of any more up-to-date information, or you know of any shipping details for locations which aren't listed below:
Please let us know here for minor details, or
Submit information on a shipment YOU HAVE ALREADY MADE here.
Thanks to all who have contributed this information, keep it coming!
NOTE: This is not our normal view, but Google's API has somehow broken the view with a map and everything nicely laid out. We will fix it as soon as possible, but it's a very big job for us. Any Google API experts feel free to contact us! For now this will have to do, sorry.
Usage: Enter one or more of the fields, as you wish. Blank field means "all". Be sure to use correct country names, e.g. "United Kingdom" not UK or England. Unfortunately "united states" (united states of america doesn't work) gets United Kingdom as well, just work down to the bottom or last page. Not case-sensitive. Results sorted by newest first.

Shipment: From Guayaquil, Ecuador to Barcelona, Spain - February, 2012
Is better not to call them
I contacted Jennifer Perez (Perez y Veliz Asociados) and signed a contract for 900USD + a 120USD insurance. (I paid both before shipping in Guayaquil). She contracted VECO Logistics and they contracted MSL Corporate.
I made myself a semi-crate with 2 pallets and slings (pallets for free and over 20USD for the ropes)
Jennifer kept a motorbike key copy and the windshield. She promised to send it by courrier; she never did it.
After 3 months of delivery time, once in Barcelona harbour, by surprise they told me that I should pay 800USD more! (the receiving company was IFS Logistics)
In order to take the bike I had to pay that.
Please, do not use none of these companies if you dont want to be rip off.

Shipment: From Kinshasa, Congo (Democratic Republic of) to Lubumbashi, Congo (Democratic Republic of) - February, 2012

can be found at the CAA cargo depot. note this is not at the airport!
I couldn't get an angola visa so I put the bike on a plan to Lubumbashi.
They wrapped it in cardboard for me. made me empty the acid out of the battery!?!? but a guy in Lubumbashi went and got me some more. Everybody was super helpful.
NOTE! They hand lift your bike out of the plane! so if you have a very heavy bike (1200GS) it could get damaged. I just got a dent on my bash plate which I pushed back out.
pretty good when you're in a pinch.

We shipped two Royal Enfield's from Australia to Singapore.
It was far too expensive for us to ride the bikes in Singapore, so we used a company called Bikebulance (Daniel 64255333) to tow us to the Malaysian causeway. Be prepared when you get there as you are literally dropped on the side of the road and there is no emergency lane.
the breakdown of our cost were
$240 au to ship the bikes from Australia. the main royal enfield importer gave us two crates.
$353 au for the fee's at the port and warehouse fee's in Singapore.
$403 au for the towing to the Malaysian causeway.
It was going to cost us something like $600 dollars each to ride through Singapore. the main cost being the insurance which was $400 as we are only 24 and 25.
my recommendation would be to ship directly into Malaysia. There are a lot less loopholes to get through.
